El tren y la península (The Train and the Peninsula) is an immersive journey that takes us along the planned route of the mega railway project known as the “Maya Train” and delves into the ideological and territorial struggles being waged in the ancestral land of the Maya people.

This screening comes as part of the fundraising campaign for the Mesoamerican Caravan for Climate and Life, which will make place from October 12 to November 10, 2025, in a journey from southern Mexico to Brazil, for the ANTICOP 2025. The goal is to amplify the stories and demands of communities defending their land and fighting for environmental justice, creating a space for dialogue, solidarity and building alternatives. It is a mobilization from the people for the people, acting in the present to defend our Futures.

After the screening there will be a Q&A with dianx (Debt for Climate), to have a further conversation about the Caravan, its goals, organization, participation, and whatever questions come to mind. Join us in this immersive and pertinent journey to the south.
