Iedereen wil dat Henry Flowers zijn vingers afsnijdt.
Henry is erg tegen dit idee. Hij houdt van zijn handen zoals ze zijn. Hij heeft ze nodig voor belangrijke dingen... zoals beeldhouwen.
Zijn vader vindt dat de vingers afleiden. Het is beter om ze weg te doen. Ze zijn nergens goed voor.
Het wordt tijd dat Henry een echte volwassen wordt en stopt te spelen met zijn vingers.
Henry Flowers is meer dan een toneelstuk, het is een surrealistische herschepping - een theater van godslastering, transformatie en toewijding. Het verweeft muziek, lichtkunst, poppenspel en het monumentaal dalen van een sculptuur van een hand.

Visueel merkwaardig, sonisch complex en emotioneel unheimlich -Light/Light Collective nodigt het publiek uit in droomlandschappen waar betekenis ontstaat door intuïtie, sfeer en zintuiglijke ervaring.
Het collectief brengt lichtkunstenaar Ulysse Fontaine, geluidskunstenaar en componist Mateusz Godlewski en beeldend kunstenaar/performer Omer Van Soldt samen in een rijk interdisciplinair onderzoek naar hedendaags theater.
Hun samenwerkingsproces begint met een sterke nadruk op audiovisuele verbeelding, waarbij licht, geluid en beweging worden gekoesterd als op zichzelf staande narratieve elementen. Deze meeslepende benadering is de basis van waaruit tekst en verhaal organisch ontstaan, wat resulteert in surrealistische dialogen die conventionele dramaturgie uitdagen.

Everybody wants Henry Flowers to cut off his fingers.
Henry is very against this idea. He’s fond of his hands the way they are. He needs them for important things... Like sculpting.
His father thinks the fingers are a distraction. It’s better to get rid of them. They’re good for nothing.
It’s time Henry becomes a proper citizen and stops twiddling his thumbs.
Henry Flowers is more than a play, it is a surreal rite of passage—a theatre of blasphemy, transformation, and devotion. It weaves together music, light art, puppeteering, and a monumental descending sculpture of a hand.

Visually striking, sonically complex, and emotionally uncanny—Light/Light Collective invites audiences into dreamscapes where meaning emerges through intuition, atmosphere and sensory experience.
The collective brings together light artist Ulysse Fontaine, sound artist and composer Mateusz Godlewski, and visual artist/performer Omer Van Soldt in a richly interdisciplinary exploration of contemporary theatre. Their collaborative process begins with a strong emphasis on audiovisual imagination, treating light, sound, and gesture as narrative forces in their own right.
This immersive approach becomes the groundwork from which text and story arise organically, resulting in surreal, absurdist dialogues that challenge conventional dramaturgy.
