Fright Years
There’s something in Fright Years’ sound that can only come from Edinburgh: the weather, the beauty and the weight of everything that has happened there. The four-piece create guitar-driven indie rock in which personal pain is transformed into something universal. Since forming in 2021, Fright Years have built a reputation for powerful live performances and a rapidly growing fanbase. With new music and a new record label behind them, the band is embarking on the next chapter. Fright Years’ music draws on 1990s alternative rock, 1980s post-punk and new wave, yet sounds entirely contemporary. Influences from bands such as Wolf Alice, The Killers and Yeah Yeah Yeahs come together in a sound that is both raw and compelling. And if Florence + The Machine ever struck a chord deep within you, Fright Years are the next band you need to hear.
