FPQXL 20 Jaar - Greatest Hits
For twenty years, FPQ (better known as F*cking Pop Queers) has been a place where pop music and queer nightlife come together. What started in 2006 on Wednesday evenings at STUDIO80, later grew into a monthly party at Jimmy Woo and has since become a fixture on the Amsterdam queer scene.
A lot has changed in those twenty years. What once had to be read between the lines has increasingly become fully visible. Think of a glance, an outfit or a pop song with a double meaning. Queer culture shifted from coded to celebrated, and from niche to an undeniable force within pop and club culture.
During WorldPride, FPQ is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the theme “Greatest Hits”: a tribute to the tracks, moments and nights that have shaped this evolution. From loud sing-alongs to new anthems. Think of it as a celebration of where we’ve come from, where we are now and everything that’s yet to come.
