Fembot Calling // Josefina Giraldi + Ping-En Hung + NUMI + Miss Mazzy x LAURENCE
Am I the lapdog of lust or destruction? Is this a new world or a dead end? Is this how I’m meant to be human? Does lotus-posed sentience listen for signs from the sky?

Fembot Calling is an evening dedicated to artifice and its aching ~ a space where hazy humanoid longing takes the spotlight. Inspired by sci-fi novels like ‘The Employees’ by Olga Ravn or silent-era staples like Metropolis (1927), the evening brings together four NL-based acts to step into the depths of the bionic soul. Audiences are invited into a world of foggy melodies and grainy voices, of strange and sacral soundscapes and searching strings of thought. Come through for an electrifying lineup!

NUMI

NUMI is a musical debut, a group of goons, a set of songs drenched in steel and sentiment. Blending hypnotic melodies, layered vocals, wailing woodwinds, and fuzzy electronics, the group’s music stems from cosmic confusion and a thin-yet-lingering faith in humanity, amongst other things. NUMI consists of Naomi Collier, George Demetriou, Josefina Gilardi, Marcus Wärnheim, and Sabine Pendry.

Josefina Giraldi

Josefina Gilardi (CL/AR) is an artist, musician and sound designer. She is concerned with materiality of sound and image as a starting point to investigate memory, fiction, and structures of interdependence. In her music she experiments with live electronics, using and processing instruments like synthesisers, the flute and guitar; crossed with spoken word, singing and ambient sounds. She has participated in several collaborations and worked together with artists, making compositions and performing across the Netherlands and Buenos Aires.

Miss Mazzy x LAURENCE

Miss Mazzy X Laurence is a musical duo exploring the fusion of classical music and experimental club culture. Singer Mazarine Wensvoort and cellist Laurence Gaudreau experiment with strings, vocals, and electronics, using their classical training as a foundation to create enchanting soundscapes. They perform in unexpected venues, from museums to clubs, creating an active link between the present and the past, where boundaries blur, collapse, and new worlds are discovered.
