Fanfare Ciocărlia

Fanfare Ciocărlia is a big brass band from north-eastern Romania. With their traditional Ottoman funk grooves, they have been turning concert halls and festivals around the world upside down since the late 1990s. The members of this brass band learned their craft from their fathers and grandfathers, and approach each concert with pride as a challenge to both entertain the audience and keep the true spirit of traditional Roma music alive.
