It is precisely here that initiatives emerge that are social, sustainable and innovative. During Ceuvel Kijkt: Entrepreneurs from Noord you will get to know these entrepreneurs and their stories. What drives them, what challenges do they face and what can you learn from them?
Each evening is curated by a host: an entrepreneur from Noord with an inspiring story. The host selects a film or documentary that connects to their work or fascination and introduces the film themself. Afterwards you will talk with the host and other visitors, and there will be a surprising interactive element such as a tasting, demonstration or mini workshop.
So not a passive film night, but an evening of personal stories and encounters. Expect inspiration, new perspectives and a chance to experience the entrepreneurial power of Noord up close.
Meet the host of this evening: Anke Wijnja
Anke focuses in all her work with The Nature Connection on the relationship between humans and nature. At De Ceuvel she researches phytoremediation (soil remediation through plants), rewilding and ways to give a voice to non-human life. In addition, she represents the rights of non-human life in the Zoöp Bodem voor de Buurt and in various projects for Natuurgebied Noord.
With a background in Industrial Design Engineering, Landscape Design, Bushcraft and Mindfulness she has been taking people into green spaces since 2016, because she knows that this connection with your surroundings nourishes you, grounds you and helps you flourish. Also in the city.
During Ceuvel Kijkt Anke will show you how to collaborate respectfully with nature and how you can speak for more-than-human life. How do you do that? Is that even possible? And if you do, what happens then?
An evening about animated life in the city, in connection with what lives in and around you.
About the film
The remarkable documentary âEternal Songâ by Zaya & Maurizio Benazzo from 2025 was filmed in Indigenous territories from Aotearoa to the Amazon. The film tells the stories of 13 Indigenous communities, each carrying their own ancestral songs of grief, resilience and connectedness. In this chaotic, individualistic time, Eternal Song is an invitation to remember what lives beneath the noise, to listen deeply and to find one another again in reverence for the earth and for all life.
