Drawing a Bamboo – A Introduction to Korean Painting

Discover the elegance and mindfulness of traditional Korean painting through the motif of bamboo, one of the most iconic subjects in East Asian art. In this workshop, artist and educator Kelly Jang will guide participants in exploring the expressive brush techniques, natural materials, and philosophical underpinnings of Sumukhwa (Korean ink painting).

Working with traditional tools such as rice paper, ink, and Oriental brushes, participants will learn how to capture the essence of bamboo—a symbol of integrity and resilience.
