The Amsterdamse Popprijs is thé band competition for Amsterdam bands in all styles. Throughout its existence, the Amsterdamse Popprijs has become an institution. The competition gives bands the chance to present themselves to the public, media, and music industry, and to perform on renowned stages in Amsterdam. For many participants, the Amsterdamse Popprijs has also been a stepping stone to a successful career. Winners include SANN!E, Cloud Cafe, Marathon, Ben Forte, WIES, TAPE TOY, and Yori Swart.
