ONCE A PUNK, ALWAYS A PUNK!!! Fans of punk riot or crust madness need no lengthy introduction to DISAFFECT, as the band has been around since the early nineties and their records have occupied many a tape decks or turntables, even the one in your house. Filthy punk with metal guitars, where the speed pedal is on the floor with great lyrics and brilliant male/female vocals, where especially singer Lynne has dynamite in her throat. DISAFFECT have been put on ice once before but they are back and believe me, their live shows are like a hurricane!!! This punk sextet will definitely convince us of that on the OCCII stage!!!

Disaffect are a hardcore punk band from Glasgow, Scotland. We formed in 1991 and initially disbanded a few years later in 1994, with some of the members going on to play in Scatha, Constant Fear and Quarantine. We were pretty active during our initial existence and released 3 EPs, 2 LPs, not to mention various tracks on compilations. We played pretty regular in the UK and toured Europe quite extensively. According to some via our activities and lyrics we definitely left a mark on punks all over the world. Lynne resettled to Belgium which made it difficult for the band to continue in the 90s. Fast forward to 2019 and we decided that we wanted to start playing again with the original members; Joe, Brian, Lynne and Billy. We added new members Lee from 36 Crazy Fist and Jim from Fleas & Lice and got back in the studio to rehearse. Since then, we have released a discography on Ruin Nation Records of all our earlier releases and have since released a new LP, EP and Split LP via Sanctus Propaganda and continued to play gigs around the UK and Europe with plenty more ideas in the making.
