Collective Readings: Transatlantic Voices

On a late summer evening, we will gather at the Perdu bookshop to conclude the Transatlantic Voices workshop series with an intimate collective reading by the participants. Everyone will share pieces and poems developed over the course of the workshop.

Over the past eight weeks, we have gathered to explore the poetics of five Latin American women authors: Blanca Varela (Peru), Angélica Freitas (Brasil), Marosa di Girogio (Uruguay), María Paz Guerrero (Colombia), and Mikaes Sanchez (Mexico). Inspired by their words, each participant wrote poems in response. During our sessions, we shared and dissected our writing, delved into the work of the authors we explored and created space for collective reflection, dialogue, and poetic experimentation.
