Clipping I: Coming of Age is a fragmented, collage-like publication that traces the textures and processes of becoming through sonic culture. Emerging from a two-year collaboration between Rewire Festival and Nieuwe Instituut’s Through Sounds program, this Clipping gathers transcripts, commissioned texts, personal reflections, and unreleased tracks to explore the social, emotional, and infrastructural dimensions of coming of age.
Sonically, “clipping” signals distortion—where sonic excess exceeds clarity, opening up new spaces of possibilities. Likewise, the series Clipping transforms fleeting conversations into material form: not as a singular narrative, but as layered fragments, images, and sounds that mirror the ephemerality of the events themselves
