The collaborative event between Cat In The Bag Records and Distant Planet returns to OT301 in Amsterdam this February.
The event features a mix of label residents and UK guests.
The event emphasizes a "strictly vinyl" approach, focusing on the golden era of rave music (1987–1995) alongside modern jungle productions.
Cat In The Bag, a Jungle & DnB label based in NL with Tommy The Cat as the main man, featuring some of the best Jungle & DnB artists worldwide & running a successful Cat In The Bag Jungle Sessions night at the OT301 and various venues across Europe will be joining forces with Distant Planet.
Louise +1 and Hughesee have been hosting Distant Planet parties for 15 years in the UK. The events are vinyl only and focus on the golden era 87-95 of all things Acid House, Techno, Hardcore and Jungle.
Taking place in venues like MOT & The Fox & Firkin in South London and Lost Horizon and Cosies in Bristol, their events have seen the likes of FFF, Tim Reaper, Equinox, Dwarde and many other DJs grace the turntables.

Tommy The Cat began his journey in the early '90s, playing Jungle, DnB, and Breakz, before shifting to the darker side of electronic music by the end of the decade. In 2004, he launched the Dosis Decibel Record Label and soundsystem, organizing free parties in the Netherlands and beyond, blending Hardcore, Techno, Acid, Tekno, Jungle, and Breakbeats.
In 2018 Tommy The Cat started a mainly jungle Cat In The Bag Records label. Since then, he’s been releasing beastly tearout worldwide junglism releases via the outlet, and alongside the likes of Tim Reaper, FFF, Duburban, Pastaman, MsDos, Subreachers, Junglefever and many more, while the following year he added other imprints, Park Sessions & Oldschool Shoes, to his repertoire.
His music production includes releases on labels like Myor Massiv, PRSPCT, Vibes ’93, E-beamz, Unknown To The Unknown and Tuff Cuts. His dj and producer tactics are a mixture of Jungle, Oldschool DnB, Atmospherical Jungle and Oldschool Trip Hop.
Running a successful Cat In The Bag Jungle Sessions night at the OT301 in Amsterdam and bringing his Cat In The Bag sound to various venues across Europe.

Bojcot
His love for Jungle started at the age of 14 in 1994. Four years later he bought his first set of technics. He played a couple of nice gigs throughout the netherlands but because drum and bass was the predominent sound in the scene at that time there weren’t many occasions at which he could show his developing skills
Around 2004 he discovers the sounds of Break-step and dubstep and other 140bpm sounds which he started playing with great success. In the following years he played at most major Dutch clubs and festivals as well as various places across Europe, even getting booked to play at SXSW in the USA.
Around 2014 his Love for the more and more generic sound of dubstep dwindled and he started looking for different beats to play and soon he discovered the emergent Sound of footwork-Jungle.
In these years he was performing his Weekly Radio Show on sub FM where he could vent his new musical discoveries.
In 2017 he became a Father and this meant there wasn't a lot of time to mess around going to clubs and try getting bookings. But something always felt off..
About 7 years later he has revived is love for the thing that started it All: Jungle. He’s focussing heavily on a new batch of productions he will perform exclusively in all his sets. Expect a 100% self made hardcore Junglism.

JDK
The boss of the Flatlife Records label group; is also spinning some atmospheric Jungle vinyls when he finds the time between running all those labels. His roots lie in the jungle/ drum n bass. When he turned 18; he came into contact with jungle drum n bass organization Red Zone in Eindhoven. From there he independently (under the name Jape Du Marie) played vinyl sets at underground parties and festivals for 10 years and was known for his pounding bad company-like sounds. After these 10 years he started playing technosets as "Jack Wax" and playing more Psy Goa Trance under “Jape Du Marie”. Now he is also back to his roots; with a special new DJ name: JDK under which he plays more atmospheric Drum n Bass & Jungle sets and became member of Park Sessions (Cat In The Bag)!
