CARE | Pop-Up Expo
What does hope look like in a time of weather extremes? The exhibition CARE reminds us that change is possible when we act together.
We are used to talking about climate change through statistics, extreme weather warnings, and apocalyptic scenarios. While this information is necessary, it can often leave us feeling powerless and anxious.
In response to this, 30 artists from 23 European countries have created illustrations that invite us to imagine a more sustainable future – one built on mutual care, collective action, and community-based solutions.
In addition, the collection is now available online under an open license on TheGreats.co – the world’s largest free platform for socially engaged art. All artworks on the platform can be freely used for non-commercial purposes in communications and advocacy campaigns by civil society organizations, educators, and activists.
This initiative is co-funded by the European Union.
For two months, several works from the CARE exhibition will be on display in the entrance corridor of Tolhuistuin.
DE/MO is committed to fostering a new generation of engaged European citizens. The foundation aims to show young Europeans how European politics affects their daily lives and to make them feel that their voices matter. For the CARE project, DE/MO is collaborating with its Icelandic partner Hafnar.Haus and the Bulgarian creative studio Fine Acts.
