Breakfast a storytelling performance by Hugo Lorenzetti Neto

Breakfast a storytelling performance by Hugo Lorenzetti Neto
I like to make breakfast for the man who has slept in my bed. This is where the pull into building this performance comes from. The pleasure of being shameless in the most vulnerable hour. I like to half nakedly chop ingredientes, choose spices like a painter, and make the smoke from the pan move the muscles of this awaking man. So I show the audience, who might take part in the performance, the recipes that are not instructions but movements of the body, of life. I will tell you all a story, a few stories of love, heartbreak, healing, inner and outer adventure. I will sing to you. I will describe food and bodies. Talk to you about translation and poetry. And travelling. And being here. Come spend the night, it ends at breakfast. Hugo Lorenzetti Neto is a poet and performer from Brazil, who is working on a series of acts of storytelling and vocal performances in the context of the writing of his thesis. Breakfast is na arrival point and will be executed in Amsterdam after having been presented in Berlin, São Paulo and Porto Alegre. Each performance is diferente from the other. The show will be in English with some incidental Portuguese, French, Spanish, Italian, Indonesian and Dutch. Depending on participation, it takes 50 minutes to one hour. Breakfast will be served at the Teatro Munganga, on February 14, (Valentine ́s Day, uncanningly), from 20h on.
