Break-Out
The very first edition of Break-Out in Amsterdam. After two years of hosting events in Enschede, it is time that Break-Out makes an appearance in Amsterdam. Break-Out is an underground Drum and Bass night where we put the emphasis on UK style Drum and Bass. Expect underground Drum and Bass and Jungle, both old school and new school.
Artists
Madcap
Madcap (Elliot Payne) is a British DJ, producer, and remixer with a career that began in the early 90s.
His music has been released on labels like Good Looking Records, Metalheadz, and Renegade Recordings, and he’s remixed artists such as Nookie and Goldie.
Madcap has played at major events across the UK, Europe, and the US, including venues like London’s Fabric. He also co-runs the Creative Wax label and hosts regular radio shows on Mi-Soul Radio.
Chris Inperspective
Christopher Walton, known as CHRIS INPERSPECTIVE, was born in Lewisham, South-East London.
He founded Inperspective Records in 1997, a label known for its innovation and influenced by Good Looking and Reinforced. A respected producer, DJ, and host of events like LTJ Bukem’s Progression Sessions.
He will be hosting the Break-Out night this time.
Defect
Defect, based in Amsterdam, has been a drum and bass DJ for five years.
As founder of Break-Out, he has performed at events like Kortsluiting, Ripple Sessions, Off.Beat, and Into the Woods festival.
After discovering the genre, he initially focused on heavier drum and bass and jungle sounds but later developed a deeper, soulful style.
MiesFM
MiesFM is a Dutch producer and DJ known for blending soulful music with early 2000s cosmic influences and technological experimentation.
She started releasing music in 2024 with her EP "Without Love" on Heart Twice Records, and her first mini LP is set to drop soon on Influenza Media.
MiesFM has performed at events such as Liquicity Festival, Cheeky Monday, and Nox, gracing iconic venues like Klokgebouw, Melkweg, and Thuishaven. She’s excited to bring more of her signature sound to Break-Out!
IPKISS
IPKISS, based in The Hague, is known for his deep passion for Drum and Bass, blending atmospheric, obscure sounds with soulful vibes.
Inspired by legends like LTJ Bukem, Fabio, Response & Pliskin, his style spans liquid funk to jungle, offering a fresh twist to the Dutch scene.
Recently joining the Break-Out crew and founding Atlantis, IPKISS continues to push the boundaries of Drum and Bass in The Netherlands.
Shredder
Shredder is all about the underground vibe, spanning all subgenres of drum and bass. From jazzy liquid to the filthiest basslines, everything can be done! As founder of Break-Out, he's deep in the scene and he's got the needed experience to blow your socks off every time!
Starting out as a neuro DJ at Kortsluiting in 2020, Shredder has since evolved from heavy neurofunk to more refined styles. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Break, Benny L, Crystal Clear, Level 2 and more, his sound is definitely UK inspired. Shredder focusses on Deep, dark and dirty but also has a jazzy side to him, inspired by Jazzsticks and Good Looking Records, for example.
He has played at events like Ripple, Kabelbreuk, Homebass and more, showcasing his sound all over the Netherlands.
