Bloemstraat presents Open Table
Open: 16:00 - 20:00 hrs
Tickets: € 25
Bloemstraat presents Open Table, a screening, dinner and market event at OT301 & Ventilator Cinema, to raise funds for those displaced by Israel’s illegal invasion and systematic destruction of southern Lebanon .
All profits will go to the Saida Initiative, a grassroots initiative which aims to provide basic needs to displaced families currently on the streets, or in underserved schools. Serving 300-400 people daily, your donations will go directly to the organizing team on ground that focuses on the most efficient sourcing of goods and food.
Film information
Buffer Zone (2025) Farrah Berrou
Part-documentary and part-memoir, Farrah Berrou takes us to her ancestral border village of Kfarkila in southern Lebanon months after the November 2024 US-brokered “ceasefire”. The phone and archival footage in this short film are an intimate portrayal of her shock and grief while confronted with an unrecognizable family home destroyed by Israel
Note: the screening will be followed by a collective reflection, with a chance to relay questions to Farrah herself
After the screening, we invite attendees to connect, reflect and show solidarity on the ground floor of OT301. Join us for dinner and expect a generous mezze inspired by Lebanese cuisine. During dinner there will be a market with contributions from both local and Lebanon based artists.
