What is Arabic Calligraphy?
Arabic Calligraphy is a traditional and timeless art form that captures the essence of Arabic script through intricate designs and elegant lines. Deeply rooted in Islamic and Arab culture and tradition, this art form has adorned mosques and buildings, manuscripts, and artworks for centuries long and continues to inspire art in the Arab world and beyond.
This introductory workshop provides students with an introduction to calligraphy - from its history to its many different styles - and invites them to explore the artform themselves. Whether you are an experienced calligrapher or an intrigued beginner, you will leave the workshop with your own creation!
