Mo Bedick blends shoegaze, psychedelic rock, hip-hop, and jazz into a rich sonic tapestry, drawing inspiration from cult giants like DIIV, Cocteau Twins, and early Tame Impala. Known for their tight, energetic, and eclectic live performances, the band radiates chemistry and quirky humor both onstage and between songs. Expect a show where you’ll dance, dream away, and journey to unexplored sonic depths. With the release of their debut album, Whirligig, on vinyl in March 2024, Mo Bedick has caught international attention, earning features in publications across the Netherlands, UK, Japan, and the US. Accompanied by over 25 electrifying shows across the Netherlands, including the traveling Popronde festival, the band cemented their reputation as a must-see act.

Het geluid van M.J.H. Thompson Volksorkest is een eclectische mix van rock, post-punk en country, geïnspireerd door een breed scala aan artiesten, waaronder Kevin Ayers, J.M.A. Biesheuvel en The Shaggs. Hun nog te verschijnen debuutalbum weerspiegelt dit diverse palet, een mix van spontane creativiteit met een onconventionele benadering van songwriting en opname. Het proces was opzettelijk ontspannen en organisch, het begon in de studio van een vriend en ontwikkelde zich door bijdragen van verschillende vrienden in verschillende settings. Het resultaat is een verzameling liedjes vol eigenzinnige observaties, onconventionele humor en oprechte expressie, die een breed spectrum van menselijke ervaringen en emoties vastleggen. Een aantal weken terug deed M.J.H. Thompson + Volksorkest nog een support show voor Personal Trainer in Vera, Groningen.

Dit dynamische DJ-duo staat garant voor een leuke avond. Laurie & Darek hebben hun wortels in de indiescene (The Klittens, Pip Blom), maar hebben een voorliefde voor kutmuziek. Verwacht de coolste indiebangers, afgewisseld met obscure nederpop-hits, electropop en oké vooruit, héél soms ABBA. En dan ook nog eens allemaal op vinyl. Denk aan VT wonen, maar dan met designer meubels.
