AADE: Live Electronics

On Friday 24th of October, during AADE, OT301 will become the epicentre of live electronic frequencies. Four cutting-edge acts take the stage — each with their own distinct setup and sound. This unique lineup transcends genres but has one thing in common; the enticing and energetic live sets.
Artists:
Heijmat (aka multiplatinum mixing engineer Huub Reijnders) sets the tone with hypnotic synths, dark basslines, and heavy, driving beats.
Heijmat seamlessly weaves together elements of ambient, techno and downtempo to create a sonic journey that transcends genres. His music is characterized by intricate
soundscapes, pulsating rhythms, and ethereal melodies, which come together to create an immersive and captivating experience for listeners.
Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of musical influences, Heijmat’s artistic vision is a reflection of his deep connection with the world around him. His tracks often explore themes of introspection and the human experience, inviting listeners to embark on a sonic exploration of their own emotions and surroundings.

Subfiction premieres his brand-new audiovisual show ENTER, blending live-generated visuals with house-infused breakbeats.
Subfiction exists in the twilight zone of electronic live performance—veiled, elusive, and unpredictable. A sonic architect of absorbing audiovisual worlds, where sound and image merge into a hypnotic experience and where transitions between euphoria and melancholy happen effortlessly. Melodies pull you in, rhythms fall apart, structures collapse, and yet, everything inevitably finds its way back to the dancefloor.
After standout performances at Eurosonic Noorderslag, Grasnapolsky, Motel Mozaïque, and a packed Melkweg show during Popronde, SUBFICTION is now gearing up for its debut album ENTER. Set for release in fall 2025, ENTER is an audiovisual work where IDM, UK garage, breakbeats, melancholic ambient, and synth-pop collide. Think Aphex Twin meets Fred Again meets Flying Lotus. The new live show takes this concept further: a real-time generated digital landscape, fully controlled by music. But even without visuals, the energy holds, whether it’s a peak-time festival stage or a dark, low-ceiling club.
