A colorful walk past the unique, energy-efficient buildings in the Buiksloterham neighborhood. It might not be obvious, but the future has already begun in Amsterdam Noord! Buiksloterham is a global frontrunner in the energy transition. ‘Glimpses of Green Energy’ explain in an engaging way where new energy comes from. Colorful objects, animations, and street art guide you underground and onto rooftops. They reveal the technology behind the transition and show what you can do yourself. Designer Tessa Steenkamp (Bits of Space) leads the way. Participation is free, just make sure to sign up.
Jacht
Café de Ceuvel | 22:00 – 23:00
Behind the group Jacht is a duo. Hannah and Wiebe are optimists who see beauty in almost everything—except the state of the world. Jacht captures what it feels like to be young in an alienating political reality and expresses that through themes like longing, nostalgia, powerlessness, anger, and hope. Their lyrics balance personal insights with sharp political statements—sometimes dreamy and melancholic, sometimes raw and outspoken. The Amsterdam-based group blends Dutch indie pop and protest folk into a euphoric yet melancholic sound. Think the intensity of Fontaines D.C., the harmonies of LOW, the poetry of Roosbeef, and the dreaminess of Alice Phoebe Lou. The vocal harmonies of Hannah Veldhoen and Wiebe Heetvelt are the heart of Jacht.
Jacht has released two EPs, participated in Popronde, and is currently working on their debut album. For fans of: Roosbeef, LOW, and Fontaines DC
