Zine-Making Nites

Do you keep a journal? Have you ever broken the sacred bonds of trust and read someone else's journal? Hopefully not, but perhaps you've read a piece that made you feel as if you were reading their journal, and the intimacy thrilled you. Do you enjoy reading/writing/documenting: people, personal experiences, tutorials, politics, interviews, cartoons and doodles? Then it's time for you to come to Zine Nite, a bimonthly event where we get to work on our zines and pool our tools such as: linocutting materials, art books ready to be destroyed, and bookbinding devices. All are welcome, and we'd be happy to share feedback on structure and/or technical formatting, with prompts/guides available for those who don't have a project going already, plus a zine library on hand to inspire you! You'll also have the opportunity to learn about Prisoner Correspondence Project, an initiative that connects LGBTQ+ prisoners with pen pals. Happily hosted by Nieuwland, suggested donation is 5 Euros to thank the space and contribute to supplies.
