Yellow Days is the alias of English artist George van den Broek. A reference to his synesthesia: the ability to see colors while listening to music. According to the young Brit, he applies this layering of emotions to all his art, from the music he creates to his album artwork. Past collaborations include indie rapper Bishop Nehru, musical star Shirley Jones, and none other than Mac DeMarco, one of George's great examples.

His latest single, “Sharon,” is about a friend who helped him through a difficult time. It's about someone who “quietly encourages you to follow your heart and not be distracted by all the complications around you. A friend who believes in you, despite your messy life.” The song was creatively conceived in a collaboration with a jazz fusion band from Newcastle. The catchy vibe, along with bluesy vocals will also appear in his upcoming work, including a brand new album to be released in February. On Saturday, May 2, we welcome Yellow Days back to our OZ.
