Did you ever attend a wedding at Plein Theater?

Now, you are cordially invited to the wedding of Veronica Whelm Daylight. An alter ego born from hidden desires, suppressed dreams, and a thrashy wig.

''You may now kiss my ass'' transforms any place into a wedding site - from the GVB ferry or Albert Heijn aisles to canal water accessed by swimming pool mattresses.

In this work, the fearlessly awkward yet charming Veronica marries herself and invites audiences to become her wedding guests. With her as their host, they join an awkwardly humorous spectacle combining performance art and dance. At its core, the wedding-work celebrates oddness, difference, and everything that doesn’t quite fit.

After being performed five Wednesdays in a row in public space across Amsterdam, it now arrives indoors, adapted to the intimate space of Plein Theater.
