The diversity of species, ecosystems, and genes is declining worldwide.
But what does that really mean? By joining this inspiring
workshop, you’ll learn in a creative and interactive way about biodiversity and how you can make a positive impact.

In the Biodiversity Collage workshop, you and your fellow participants will explore how biodiversity is structured and what the main causes of biodiversity loss are. You’ll then engage in discussion about concrete actions to make a positive impact. The workshop is based on the latest reports from the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).

This workshop is facilitated by Merel from Snoeikracht

What will we do?
  • We’ll explore how an ecosystem functions and how human activities can disrupt the balance of ecosystems.
  • Together, we’ll discover the connections between 39 cards related to biodiversity. What makes up biodiversity? Why do we need it to survive as humans? What are the main causes of biodiversity loss, and what are the consequences?
  • Finally, we’ll share the questions, thoughts, and feelings that this new knowledge brings up and discuss solutions and actions to help restore biodiversity. Even small, local actions can make a difference!

The workshop is scientifically grounded (based on the latest reports from the IPBES) and open to anyone who wants to learn more about the importance of biodiversity for a beautiful and sustainable future.
