Zîwan Arya: My current research investigates how language can be used as a
de-colonial practice, creating a space for shared re-imagination and counter-
narration. Through this performance experiment, I examine how the body,
voice, and silence produce alternative ways of “speaking.” The work seeks a
lexicon that transcends structures of supremacy, defies translation, and
manifests through gesture, breath, and fragmentation. It is an effort to unlearn
inherited modes of expression and discover new ways to communicate,
sense, and remember.
Marina: In a setting that evokes a dinner table rather than an art space, I
invite you to share spinach pie, tea, and moments of connection. A space of
hospitality and exchange, where audience-participants themselves constitute
the work. Through my artistic research, I experiment with “care with,”
exploring co-care and coexistence, drawing from relational aesthetics and the
practice of active listening.
