Making music with minimal means. The music that Tim Langedijk and Paul Berner create independently, with their own bands, radiates clarity and simplicity. Sometimes highly complex compositions that sound as child’s play in their hands, and sometimes simple songs that resonate profoundly with deep feeling.
When they started playing as a duo, their motivation was simply to play together; two fans of each other's music who happen to live a stone's throw from each other in Haarlem. Just bike over and jam, no amplification, no effects, and no pretense, all acoustic. But after going into the studio to record the results, it became clear that together the simplicity, the clarity, the depth in the music actually intensified.
Now, acclaimed percussionist Michael Vatcher, with his totally unique approach to the drums, joins this duo. No other drummer fits so well with the spirit that Tim and Paul create.
A repertoire of well-known, lesser-known, and unknown songs, served up minimally. Music par excellence.
