[untitled games event] #8: "undisciplined feeling"

Future? No Thanks! + VisunovOS + coalescent || tidal rapture + Brand Nacht + Internet Teapot + Unruly, Undead, Un Un

Back after a short summer break!🌞

Join us on Sunday 23 August 2026 for an evening of games and talks about big feelings, wrong feelings, unruly emotions, improvised agency, and screaming (joyously) over the cliff-edge of our world.

The six works in [untitled games event] edition #8 are emotionally ungovernable and beautifully messy, showing us that, sometimes, “unsanctioned” feelings could help us get unstuck.

Future? No Thanks! is set in a eco-socialist utopia that works for everyone except YOU. VisunovOS breaks the grey monotony of our digital tools, offering instead a giddy, reckless playground to make games in. The duo Internet Teapot show us how they bent the arc of a game jam towards climate justice.

Brand Nacht follows a bored man in a dangerous job, waiting for something -anything- to happen. Unruly, Undead, Un Un: a place safe from all this chaos is a haunting machinima film about seeking sanctuary from the militarized narratives of survival videogames. And coalescent || tidal rapture explores intimacy in all its sensuous, mysterious, and primal fullness.

We can’t wait to see you all and experience these works together.

Future? No Thanks! by Molleindustria

Utopia is here. You're not impressed.
Future? No Thanks! is a narrative-driven, open-world adventure set in an ecosocialist utopia. The year is 2045, and society has never been better: climate change is finally being tackled, democracy thrives, and technology serves the public good. There's just one problem: you.

đŸ—Łïž Creator Paolo Pedercini will be present for a micro-talk

coalescent || tidal rapture, by Hanwen Xu & Hatim Benhsain

A hypnagogic 3D swimming/entanglement adventure game about harmonizing and want. Dive into a world of mer-people who are transforming and discovering casual relationships through the eyes of a floater who's just been dumped and refuses to evolve.

VisunovOS, by Alexandria “Lexie” van Eekelen

A playful and weird web-based tool to create art with! VisunovOS features a variety of toy-tools that re-contextualize recognizable web features, remixing their use-cases in ways that may not be intended or approved.
Play around with a key smash 4-bar beat composer, a dress-up puppet maker, a kinetic novel slideshow constructor, a styled and moving word processor, a cookbook featuring recipes and guides, div-based and CSS-styled fractal makers, a div-based drawing tool, and other desktop-breaking effect toys.

Unruly, Undead, Un Un: a place safe from all of this chaos by Riccardo Santalucia

A machinima short film that turns survival and apocalyptic gameplay into a poetic intervention. Against militarized narratives, creator Riccardo Santalucia probes emotion, social behaviour, and the friction between roles, systems, and rules.

❗The film will be screened on loop at the event, and will be available to watch online until the 30th of August. Watch at your own pace and bring your impressions to the room!

Brand Nacht, by Evita Julia

Play as a bored and increasingly frustrated firefighter left behind by his crew in this short experience inspired by the creator’s time interning at a fire station. Explore the detailed rooms of an empty Dutch fire station and experience the restless hours in between call outs.

TALK: Internet Teapot on modding game jams.

While game jams are best known for their short-sprint, competitive format, often gatekept by expectations of a game design or development background, the Mzansi Climate Justice! Game Jam deliberately “modded” the conventional game jam structure. In this short talk, the duo Internet Teapot give a behind-the-scenes look at this project and how they sought to subvert and reimagine the game jam as a platform for collective exploration of social issues and activism.

Tell all your friends, bring all your friends.
As ever, we would love to hear your thoughts.

Until the 23rd,
