Unknown Electronics celebrates its 223rd edition on December 6th at OT301 by inviting local live artists Omar Medina, Gaztambide, Warr, Lenfant_Soleil and COW Shift Z for a trip from downtempo electronica to fast techno.
Unknown Electronics is the first LIVE Electronic Music collective in Amsterdam. Our goal is to foster creativity and expression through live events showcasing electronic musicians from diverse backgrounds. All genres from ambient, glitch, experimental to acid and warehouse techno to breakcore are represented, as long as we bring novelty to our community.
We feature exclusively live sets.

Omar Medina is a composer/producer and guitarist based in Amsterdam. He creates experimental electronic music and sound art aimed to trigger psychoacoustic experiences through scenic/sonic stories: sound-shaped dramaturgy.
Error, randomness, haphazardness, and repetition, are concepts consistently present in his work, which find its media in algorithms, soft and hardware, field and studio recordings.
IDM, soundscape, digital jazz, 20th Century nostalgia, and dark atmospheres contrasted by synth fantasia and algorithmically generated beats.

Gaztambide firmly believes in the power of music as a motivational platform and as a tool to get across his message. His sets are full of different styles within the techno genre, and his break roots are present, taking you into a trip of atmospheres and textures full of subtle percussion.

Warr is an Amsterdam-based electronic music producer from East London, UK. Inspired by contempoary and avant-garde approaches to dance music, he bridges dark and unconventional sound textures interlaced with raw and hypnotic techno grooves in his live sets.

Lenfant Soleil’s live act as been fully imagined to allow infinite creative soundscapes.
A mix of analog and digital synthesizers to cover the widest catalog of sounds mixed with an FX template that allows smooth transitioning and clean progression of arrangements.
With this set I fully allow myself to rediscover my flow whenever I play, which creates a unique moment in time that will slowly become a nostalgia for people that experienced it.
Lenfant Soleil live is a series of textures, universes and digital environments flowing together to create a story l like no other.

COW Shift Z is a composer and performer of electronic music. Her practice as a composer focuses on integrating different music genres in her artistic language. The electronic dance music gives her the common ground to express her inner worlds and tell the stories with a free and experimental mindset.
She recently met Cassandra (her alter-ego) in the middle of a compositional journey and immediately decided to join forces to create together. Cassandra lives in the smallest micro-state in the World with only 18 square meters - Biljimeiri.
We can listen to their collaboration in COW Shift Z’s EP “Funeral for the Selves”, “Biljimeiri Anthem” for the utopa organ and electronics and recent live-sets.
