Wilbert Bulsink presents:New compositions for piano duo and sampler

In Traces, piano duo Rabbit&Haas takes the listener on a journey along the borders of Europe. Using field recordings from Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Belarus, Ukraine and Istanbul, Wilbert Bulsink has composed a cycle, Grensgangen, for piano four hands and sampler. Different languages and sounds — from cows, crickets and church bells to calls to prayer from minarets — blend with live piano sounds, performed with virtuosity by Rabbit&Haas.

At the same time, a second piano landscape unfolds: in Tunes for a Distant Ear, a composition by Tamara Laverman, sounds emerge and shift from one place to another. Like traces of what once was and what continues to resonate.
