Third Culture Club

We're pleased to announce the second edition of 'Third Culture Club' this year! A club somewhere between cultures with an emphasis on sounds from the Global South!
As our world gets more connected every minute, we live more and more in-between cultures with our identities layered and our lifestyles merged. Third Culture Club aims to combine all these aspects into a new night, a third culture, where borders evaporate and we playfully combine our identities through music. We invite DJs who mix sounds that narrate their lived experiences and identities. A Global South infused auditory experience into the morning!
For our 2nd night of the year we are excited to announce our three headed line-up with, the Iranian-Dutch Katayoun, the Lebanese-French Arabian Panther & the Egyptian Karamell. You might hear blended genres like Persian 90's Eurodance, House & Pop, Palestinian Rap, Sinai Mahraganat, French Electro, Shaabi EDM, Bedouin Drum & Bass & beyond.
Line-up
Arabian Panther Arabian Panther (Toulouse, France) is a French-Lebanese producer and DJ who performs veiled behind a black keffiyeh, focusing attention on his alter ego, Arabian Panther, rather than on himself. Through this character, he narrates the tales of a lone warrior committed to peace and justice, weaving these stories into his music. A dedicated artist with close ties to the Palestinian scene and cause, he made his debut by signing his first track with Harara, the first Palestinian techno label, and has performed in Ramallah and Haifa. His sound ranges from warrior march anthems to club bangers, blending Arabic scales and Middle Eastern instruments to capture the essence of hafla (celebration). His DJ sets and productions embody versatility, reflecting both his support for the Palestinian cause and his Lebanese heritage. In 2019, he co-founded the collective and label Toulouse Gouffre Club with his musical family from Toulouse, which includes artists like Kendal, A Strange Wedding, Jan Loup, and Blind Delon.
Since his debut, he has released over 20 tracks on labels such as Ritmo Fatale, Dischi Autunno, Hardfist, ComicSans, AreaZ, and Soil Records. His discography includes four EPs: Heart Filled With Sand (2019), Rise of the Panther (2020), The Way of the Penitent (2021), and Death of the Panther (2024). His first full album is set to release in 2025.
Since then, he has performed on stages in over 15 countries—including Palestine, Egypt, Canada, Finland, and Morocco—and has appeared at numerous festivals and club events. Known for his dynamic back-to-back sets with Kendal, his close collaborator in the Ritmo Fatale label family, he continues to make a strong impact on the global electronic music scene. Karamell Kareem Khaled [Karamell] (Cairo, Egypt) A dissociative music producer with multiple personas on a mission to Karamellize the Egyptian music scene. Karamell is not just a sound - it’s a layered experience. Through his shapeshifting musical identities, Kareem Khaled explores the space between memory and imagination, chaos and groove. His signature style fuses high-energy Electro-Shaaby with Bedouin rhythms, brought back to life through glitchy synths, distorted vocals, and modern-day sound-effects. Deeply inspired by the raw energy of Sinai and the psychedelic chaos of Cairo, Karamell weaves in textures from field recordings, rap verses, and club-ready basslines; blurring the lines between the city and the wadi, the local and the global, the past and the future. Equipped with a laptop and a midi-keyboard, he invites you to lose yourself in a sonic trip that’s unpredictable, euphoric, and always uniquely Karamellized. Katayoun Katayoun (Amsterdam, Netherlands) is a selector, sound archivist, and curator who focuses on Iran's sonic diversity and history. Her signature shows and ongoing research project, "Female Vocalists from Iran and Beyond" (2018–present), weave diverse genres from different periods and geographies, offering distinctively soulful experiences of musical dreaming, storytelling, and deep listening.
She hosts a monthly residency at Kiosk Radio in Brussels, where her show "Sonic Imaginaries" continues to explore Iran's sonic heritage by drawing connections to other musical traditions, including Latin music, jazz fusion, and funk. Her warm and dreamlike sound has taken her to numerous stages, from supporting Sevdaliza to performing at festivals, museums, and art spaces and DJing at listening events and in nightlife. One of her recent radio shows spotlighted the "Iranian Dance Wave"—a 1990s-2000s movement from LA’s Iranian diaspora—blending Italo Disco, Eurodance, trance, progressive house, and Tehrangeles pop. Shaped by Katayoun’s musical upbringing, the mixtape bridges high-energy dance sounds with cultural roots, celebrating a global sound that still resonates today.
