During a school trip to Washington, D.C., Lillian (played by Talia Ryder, who also sang the opening song) becomes separated from her fellow students. She has no intention of rejoining the group and decides to travel along the east coast, where she encounters many eccentric characters – such as white supremacists or religious extremists, who peculiarly bring us closer to discovering contemporary America. Absurdism runs rampant in this dreamlike road movie. Self-aware and humorous, but also raw and cynical. First feature film by director Sean Price Williams, best known as the cinematographer of Good Time by the Safdie brothers, among others. Shot on 16 mm.
