The British post-punk band The Psychedelic Furs emerged in the late ’70s, right in the middle of the UK punk explosion. Led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler and bassist Tim Butler, the Furs quickly rose to become one of the most prominent acts on the airwaves. With eight studio albums under their belt and hits like ‘Love My Way’, ‘Pretty in Pink’, ‘Heaven’, ‘The Ghost in You’, and ‘Heartbreak Beat’, they firmly cemented their place in music history. Their most recent triumph came in 2020 with the release of ‘Made of Rain’ — the band’s first new album in thirty years! After their last show in the Netherlands back in 2019, it’s about time for a return — and they’re doing just that, with a show at Melkweg!
The Psychedelic Furs currently consists of Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass), Rich Good (guitar), Amanda Kramer (keyboards), and Zachary Alford (drums).
