The Chats

When it comes to Australian pub punk, The Chats are hard to beat. The band formed in Queensland, Australia, while the members were still in high school, releasing their self-titled debut EP just a month before graduation. Their second EP, 'Get This In Ya', had been online for six months when the music video for 'Smoko' went viral, racking up millions of YouTube views in just a few days. Since then, The Chats have become known for their loud, chaotic live shows and zero-fucks attitude. They’ve toured with Australian punk legends Cosmic Psychos, US rock heavyweights Queens of the Stone Age and fellow Aussie pisswrecks Pist Idiots. Following their 2022 album 'Get Fucked', the band are back with new music. Their third studio album, 'Half Cut', is due out on 5 March 2027, preceded by the single 'Off It'. The record sticks to their no-nonsense punk rock roots while exploring a more personal side of the band. The humour, volume and unfiltered energy remain firmly intact.
