Tender junk gallery & storytelling night

Welcome to the Tender Junk Gallery!

This is an event inspired by the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb, Croatia. This is a charity event in which guests submit artefacts from a relationship which has since ended. Objects will be on display with a short (300 – 800 word) story of the relationship which has since ended and some individuals will tell the stories of their objects in person, so they can convey the emotion caught up in their object.

The relationships in question can be romantic, platonic, familial, passing – and the story can be sad, funny, heartwarming, absurd...or any of the myriad of emotions which are involved when relationships end!

As part of the event, we will be accepting donations to MECA, an organisation which supports children from Palestine and across the Middle East. MECA is currently being promoted by AlQaws, a Palestinian civil society organisation which provides support and advocacy for LGBTQ+.
