SubWaves: Connecting Frequencies #17
On Saturday March 14, Subwaves returns to De Richel with three sets of adventurous underground music, poetry and animation:
The synergistic duo of Julyen Hamilton and Wilbert de Joode play “Jack Gets Out of Prison” – an ever-evolving work of interwoven improvised poetry and double bass.
Orquesta de Tempo Perdido mastermind Jeroen Kimman performs a set of new songs for solo guitar set to animations by illustrator and double bassist Sjeng Schupp.
Nancy Phantom -Ärkan Nordin, Sara Campos and Josefina Gilardi- combine spoken texts with flute, piano, drums, synthesizers, samples and guitars in ethereal and ghostly iterations of improvised psychedelia.
Doors at 2030. Music at 2100.
10€ or more. Tickets available at the door (tikkie/cash preferred)
SubWaves is dedicated to bring together the different voices of Amsterdam’s creative music scene. Each performance is a chance for musicians and audiences alike to explore the full spectrum of creative sound. SubWaves aims to create an ongoing space where artists can cross musical divides and audiences can connect deeply with.
