Standing on the Corner
Standing On The Corner is a music collective from Brooklyn, New York, that brings together soul, punk, salsa, doo-wop, jazz, funk, avant-garde and rap. Drawing on the musical exchange between the United States, Puerto Rico and Africa, the collective moves between music, film, visual art and performance. Experimentation, personal experiences and the significance of a place form the common thread running through their work, in which collective memory also plays an important role.
On the album ‘Standing On The Corner “II”’, released in September 2026, the collective blends experimental hip-hop, soul and psychedelic rock. With contributions from Solange, Danny Brown and Styles P, amongst others, the result is a musical collage that constantly explores new directions.
