Sound Meditation (Sound Bathing)
A deep listening experience with singing bowls, drum, flute, gong, chimes and voice, guiding participants toward calm and awareness through vibration. Ideal for individuals or groups seeking relaxation, clarity and an inner reset. Based on the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine regarding seasonal and elemental changes that support energy flow and the body’s natural healing process.
Practical information
- Wear comfortable and warm clothing. Extra warmth is recommended, as it can be quite chilly on the boat; think of a hot water bottle and thick socks.
- Please bring your own yoga mat or cushion. (Let me know if you cannot bring one; we have a few available to borrow.)
- Please arrive a minimum of 5–10 minutes in advance; doors open at 19:00 / the session starts at 19:15 / ends at 20:15.
- Payment is based on a sliding scale; you can make a donation before or during the session.
About Judy Young
Judy Young combines her performative art practice with meditation. Her work conveys messages across the Yin–Yang spectrum, drawing on 12 years of yoga experience and 6 years of sound meditation practice. She currently teaches at Yoga School Noord and has facilitated sound meditation workshops at Felix Meritis, the Van Gogh Museum, Foundation Nowhere Theatre and Lola Lieven. She is currently studying Chinese Medicine at Shenzhou University in Amsterdam.
