Skinto
Skinto made his breakthrough in the 2010s with a unique blend of UK grime, soca, reggae and calypso. He grew up in a musical family and had been performing on stage from a young age, with a sound that reflected his Caribbean roots right from the start. Together with Nebulon and his musical partner Stepherd, he played at festivals such as Mysteryland, Appelsap and Solar. The track ‘Banaan’ became a hit in Belgium, whilst ‘Brak Obama’ is regarded as a cult classic in the Netherlands.
Following the release of his dark, experimental EP ‘Skinto’s World’ (2021), he embarked on a new musical direction. On his latest EP ‘Big Mood’, Skinto lets his roots shine through even more clearly in music that revolves around connection, positivity and celebrating life. With warm soca influences and infectious energy, he turns every liveshow into a party.
