Sixes & Sevens - Panja - Tim Visser
Sixes & Sevens:
Sixes & Sevens used to be characterized by blasting riffs, high tempos, and balls-to-the-wall waves of energy. However, the band has taken an introspective turn. Taking lessons from their high-intensity days, they funneled their sound through a more experimental, alternative, and even art rock approach. Exploring themes such as isolation, loneliness, and longing with honesty, Sixes & Sevens embark on a long journey into troubled waters through which they hope to uncover what it means to truly connect while maintaining the electrifying buzz that has defined them.
Panja:
From spontaneous live sessions of the "Rock 'n Roll Garage" collective at the legendary blues club, 'Maloe Melo,' to rehearsing beside the Vondelpark’s Pablo Picasso statue, Panja found their muse. The Picasso-inspired ambience seeped into their music; the result is a bold and electrifying rock 'n roll sound with colorful influences from country and blues. Their new album ‘Songs from the Saloon’ encapsulates the spirit of living your days in a rut in the city, yearning for the countryside. It's raw, energetic, and invites you to embrace the wild side of life.
Tim Visser:
My name is Tim Visser because that's been given to me, but don't let it fool you. My music (and my being, for that matter) is the beautiful outcome of many awesome people's energy combined. Bringing sounds from experimental rock, garage rock, and alternative, Tim is a wild card of rock. As the all-round engineer of the legendary Ijland Studios, where many sonic visions come to life, he says, "You gotta give chance to chance."
