Shady Nasty
In a world of souped-up cars, migrant backgrounds and digital obsessions, Sydney’s Shady Nasty is forging its own unique path. The trio, comprising Kevin Stathis, Haydn Green and Luca Watson, moves effortlessly between alternative punk, post-punk and contemporary hip-hop, creating a sound that defies easy categorisation into a single genre.
With the critically acclaimed EPs ‘Bad Posture’ (2020) and ‘CLUBSMOKE’ (2021), the band laid the foundations for a unique universe that has been further developed over the past seven years into a distinctive artistic identity. On their debut album “TREK”, released last year, Shady Nasty turn their gaze to the less-than-glamorous reality of life in Sydney, without compromising their creative vision.
The band has previously shared the stage with acts such as Shame, High Vis, Ho99o9, Sleaford Mods, Gustaf, Skeleten and Amyl and The Sniffers. Now Shady Nasty is gearing up for their debut show in Amsterdam.
