Virtuosic interplay between flamenco and rock

Rodrigo y Gabriela is the Mexican guitar duo of Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero. For more than two decades, they have combined acoustic guitar music with influences from rock, flamenco, metal and world music. Their new album, ‘OurHome’, grew out of a long-standing connection with Japan, where the record was recorded and inspired by art, nature and introspection. The album features collaborations with, among others, jazz pianist Hiromi and guitarist Marty Friedman. Through virtuosic interplay, cinematic compositions and rhythmic precision, Rodrigo y Gabriela continue to expand their instrumental sound while staying true to their distinctive style.
