Resonating Identities

A program bringing together four new compositions for Harp by Tomás Bordalejo, Fabien Cali, Benoît Menut and Nigji Sangez, together with works by Hindemith and Tailleferre, exploring the theme of identity and transformation brought about by the movements of life.
The French harpist Sandrine Chatron moved from Paris in 2009 to join the NedPho/NKO. This opportunity to immerse herself in the cultural life of the Netherlands has been an enriching experience, but also one which has led to a reflection on identity, and the effect movement and travel have on personality.
With the harp as her medium, she has invited 4 composers to join her on this journey. How do they define their creative identity? Within the universal language of music, what languages and influence speak specifically to them. A shared exploration of our language and our limits....
