Two harpists, two rooms, two worlds. In this unique concert at Splendor Amsterdam, Remy van Kesteren and Kevin Le Pennec invite you into their own universes and their shared love for the harp. Remy performs in the attic, Kevin in the small hall — halfway through the evening, the audience switches rooms, allowing you to experience both artists in their own intimate setting.

Kevin Le Pennec is a queer harpist from Brittany. With his bracket harp, clear voice, and poetic lyrics, he creates a world where traditional music blends with contemporary pop. His songs are gentle, rhythmic, and powerful all at once, addressing themes like gender identity, homosexuality, and feminism — subjects rarely heard in traditional music. Kevin has won several prizes, including the Camac Trophy (2019) and the World Harp Competition (2024, first prize and audience award), and performs internationally from Europe to New Zealand.

Remy van Kesteren is known for his genre-defying style, in which the harp comes to life through soundscapes, electronics, and improvisation. His playing is elusive, adventurous, and deeply personal — a musical journey that keeps you on the edge of your seat time and again.

Splendor can only be the independent and free hub that it is, thanks to the members who support us. We pay them back with our specialty: music. Every year, all Splendor musicians play one concert that's free for this crucial group to whom Splendor owes its everyday existence. Combined with many other events, this means that our members have free entrance to over 50 concerts a year for €9,99 p/m (and €4,99 p/m for minima and students!) – and receive a discount for all other concerts. The members enable Splendor to remain independent, which is the only way to secure real freedom in programming, experimentation, risk-taking and the promotion of young, upcoming artists.
