Read My World

With The Beat of Belonging, Read My World explores this year the sensory experience of language and the harmonious rhythm of connection.
In a dynamic world where many navigate shifting horizons through multiple identities, we tune in to the sounds and heartbeats of belonging, and offer the stage to the creative expression of jazzification: the free spirits and voices of joy and resistance that surprise, move, and connect through sound, image, and language.

The lineup, curated by the artistic team together with co-curators Maboula Soumahoro and Lou Mensah, features a vibrant mix of writers, speakers, and performers and will take place from September 11–13, 2025. The program includes lectures, panel talks, workshops, and performances, with several events taking place both at the Tolhuistuin and online.

The festival takes place at different locations at Tolhuistuin. The entrance of the festival area is at the entrance of the garden of Tolhuistuin, Tolhuisweg 3.
