Together with Kaboom Animation Festival we bring the best anime to the big screen, with on this evening two recent documentaries about Hayao Miyazaki and a 4K reissue from his 1997 masterpiece Princess Mononoke!

Japan, 15th century. After being struck by a mysterious curse, the young warrior Ashitaka sets out to find a way to rid himself of it. His journey takes him to a magical forest where a battle is raging. The forests were once protected by giant creatures, but now humans rule, driving away the original inhabitants. On one side stands Lady Eboshi, who is accused of destroying the forests because of her desire for progress. On the other side stands San, or Princess Mononoke, a wild girl raised by wolves, who fiercely defends nature and hates humanity.
