Poetry reading by the participants of Transatlantic Voices
On a late autumn evening, we will gather at the Perdu bookshop to conclude the Transatlantic Voices series with an intimate collective reading by the participants. Everyone will share pieces and poems developed over the course of the workshop.
Over the past eight weeks, we have gathered to explore the poetics of contemporary Latin American women authors: Cecilia Pavón (Argentina), Maricela Guerrero (Mexico), Tilsa Otta (Peru), Mara Pastor (Puerto Rico), and Legna Rodríguez Iglesias (Cuba). Inspired by their words, each participant wrote poems in response. During our sessions, we shared and dissected our writing, delved into the work of the authors we explored, and created space for collective reflection, dialogue, and poetic experimentation.
