The plants that once formed the foundation of our healing traditions still grow all around us—often without us even realizing it. During this workshop, you’ll explore urban nature to identify and harvest ancient medicinal herbs with respect. Back at De Ceuvel, you’ll learn how to transform them into oil, salve, tincture, tea, or other natural remedies suited to the season and your personal preference. You’ll go home with your own handmade products, recipes, and new knowledge about the power of local plants.

Anke Wijnja connects people with themselves and with nature through her company The Nature Connection. She is based at De Ceuvel, where she also manages the Purifying Park. Anke has extensive knowledge of nature and everything that grows and blooms, and shares this with great enthusiasm. In addition to being a craftswoman, she is an avid wild forager and teaches outdoor mindfulness.
