PJ Morton
On October 20, Paradiso welcomes one of the most versatile forces in contemporary soul and R&B: PJ Morton. The New Orleans-based singer, songwriter, and producer makes his long-awaited debut in the Main Hall for an evening dedicated to musical craftsmanship and deep grooves. With six Grammy Awards and an impressive 22 nominations to his name, Morton has undeniably proven himself as an industry heavyweight, supported by a stellar list of collaborations with icons such as Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Yebba, and Jon Batiste.
His career defies easy categorization. Alongside his long-standing role as the full-time keyboardist for Maroon 5 and running his own label, Morton Records, he continues to push the boundaries of his creativity. In 2024, he made history as the first Black composer to write an original song for a Disney attraction and released the album Cape Town to Cairo, which was created in just thirty days across the African continent. Simultaneously, he published his autobiography Saturday Night, Sunday Morning, in which he reflects on the intersection of music, faith, and identity.
