Philosophical linocut workshop

Philosophical linocut workshop
In this creative workshop, you will explore Rosa Luxemburg's thoughts and translate them into a linocut. We start the evening with a joint reading moment and dive into a short fragment of her writings and discuss what it evokes in us. What ideas appeal to you? What questions does it raise? How do you translate these thoughts into images? Then we will get to work with linocuts ourselves!

Workshop programme

Under guidance, you will create a graphic work inspired by Rosa Luxemburg or your own interpretation of freedom, revolution and social justice. The works will eventually be exhibited in the glass stairwell of VOX-POP.

What to expect.

  • Introduction to Rosa Luxemburg & the exhibition by artists Nanny Kok & Gerard Vroon
  • Reading excerpt, conversation and lino session guided by Margot Ponssen and Maaike Brink
  • Your work will become part of the exhibition!
